4 Elements That Make A Successful Ad (Analysis of Madinaty Ad 2022)

Did you know the number of ads that the average person is exposed to each day reaches around

10,000? Imagine being bombarded with this huge amount of ads frequently! No doubt the ads will turn

into a terrible nuisance that you get used to ignoring.


However, some ads do manage to stand out from the clutter & capture the attention of the viewer. A typical example is the latest “Madinaty” ad campaign starring the famous actor Karim Abdel Aziz. When I came across it for the first time, it just kept me on the edge of my seat.

Let’s have a deep look at it & find out why it did well: 



Storytelling 

The storytelling technique was used cleverly. The obstacle the characters faced was creatively mentioned from the first scene which was itself an attention getter. The conflict, a major element in the story, lasted throughout the ad and indicated the various features & underlying benefits of living in Madinaty. All this is within an attractive story line. In addition, the ad consisted of several episodes, which increased the suspense & made it even more exciting.    


Tone


The ad has a pleasant, slightly comedic atmosphere, which is a defining characteristic of Karim Abd Aziz’ movies. So the viewer will feel like they’re watching one of his movies, not merely an advertisement.


Promotional Strategy


To create the desire to buy a property in Madinaty, the ad utilized the effective “bring it to life” strategy -where the product is shown while used in real life. All the scenes were shot inside Madinaty, demonstrating how this place is able to improve your lifestyle & give you luxury. As a result, the viewers could easily picture themselves living there & enjoying all the special privileges.


Dialogue


The dialogue was short & light-hearted. You wouldn’t get bored or distracted due to the long talks. Add to this, the words were carefully chosen to arouse the viewer’s curiosity & make them eager to watch the ad till the end. 


It’s super challenging to make an ad that entertains the viewer & meanwhile delivers the required marketing message. Yet I guess Madinaty ad did the trick!
